The Trojans went undefeated (13-0), and won the New Mexico State Championship in his first year as head coach. Coach Bradley’s second year was another outstanding one, going 12-1 and claiming back-to-back State Championships. In 2008, the Trojans fell short in the quarter finals to the eventual State Champions. In 2009, the Trojans were the State Runners-up having another terrific season going 11-2.
Michael Bradley was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM. Coach Bradley graduated from Goddard High School in 1981. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from New Mexico State University in 1987 and a Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa in 1994.
Coach Bradley previously coached at Mayfield High School from 1987 – 1990 as an assistant in both football and track. He was then a graduate assistant football coach at the University of Iowa, under coaching legend Hayden Frye, from 1991 – 1993. After graduating from the University of Iowa, Michael came back to Mayfield when his father, Jim Bradley, became the head coach at Mayfield and became the defensive-coordinator for twelve years.
